Food Sensitivity Testing
Current studies and research have indicated that a tremendous amount of health problems can be linked to food sensitivities. Common everyday problems like migraines, aching joints, fatigue, gastrointestinal disorders, leaky gut, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), eczema, acne, hyperactivity/ADHD, asthma and even obesity can have their origins in food sensitivities. Testing for adverse food reactions is useful for individuals who suspect that a food is responsible for causing their symptoms, but can’t quite identify which food(s). In these cases, the body creates an allergic, inflammatory response when these foods enter the digestive tract.
At Connection Health Center, we utilize a variety of lab panels which test for specific foods, inhalants, spices, and molds that may be causing inflammatory responses. A blood draw is done at a near by facility and sent off for testing. A follow up appointment will be scheduled to go over the results and to design an effective diet that removes inflammatory foods as well as supplementation regiment.
